Jatiya Party co-chairman GM Quader on Sunday said that JP wants to work as a functional opposition party in and also outside of the parliament
He came up with the remarks while addressing a programme arranged to mark the joining of a BNP leader in the JP at the party’s Banani office in the capital.
He said that Jatiya Party believes in healthy politics and stability of the country.
GM Quader said they will announce the schedule of party’s organisational tour from Monday’s meeting with the leaders of the party’s municipality, union, district and upazial units.
“This tour will help in strengthening the JP’s organizational base, he said and urged party leaders and activists to work together forgetting all differences,” he added.
JP secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader said joining the JP is the outcome of the changes brought in the party. “It is a renaissance created in the party,” he said.
“Many more leaders and activists of different parties are waiting to join the JP. We will complete council in the rest of the districts before April 16,” Ruhul Amin said.
